Also big hits from Stevens didn't take place after that puck was in the net. Carter's hit was a real cheap play! A player that agile should have been able to avoid Salmela and avoid knocking him out. You can look at any team in the league and find borderline hits, it's just a matter of what ones the media remembers, and what ones are called. Take the golden franchise Penguins: Laraque Matt cooke (he gets a way with a lot) Gonchar Tyler Kennedy Malkin (not suspended, but has gotten away with many things a fringe player wouldn't) I loved Scott Stevens but a ton of his hits were late.
