The “New” Sam P. Woo Website

SamPWoo.com – I have to admit. My webmaster did a great job of making my personal website look professional and with a touch of my personality.
The “Sam P. Woo” logo has some college lettering font and the color scheme matches my favorite hockey team in the whole word, the New Jersey Devils. Twitter updates, favorite links, and now my blogs can be all found here. This is something that should have been done a long time ago, but late than never.
This website will give my readers all of my uncensored opinions. This should be interesting.
Underdog Tom Watson puts on a show

SamPWoo.com -Tom Watson maybe 59 but he sure put on a show.
As he walked down the fairway, everyone knew he was going to finish second during the playoff round. The crowd cheered loudly and the amount of class displayed at the 2009 Open Championship was spectacular.
You would think that Tiger Woods would dominate the headlines. But sometimes, the older players can come about and make a run at the impossible. As a golf fan, you want it to happen and sometimes, miracles can happen. But after today, anyone around Watson’s age can feel real good about themselves the next time they go out on the golf course.
Watson made a statement.
Mattias Tedenby Will Be a Superstar!

(SamPWoo.com) – Did anyone see the “live” scrimmage last Saturday that featured the New Jersey Devils’ rookies?
Mattias Tedenby is an exciting player and has skills that remind me of Zach Parise. The speed, quickness, and vision has us understanding why they chose to go with Swedish players, like they did with U.S. born collegiate players a decade ago. This is the post lockout NHL.
A coach cannot teach talent, and if a player like Tedenby comes along, you hope he would be a quick learner and make an immediate impact in the NHL. It is hard imagine that the Devils actually may have another superstar like Parise in the farm system and Tedenby is one year away from making a jump into North American ice hockey.
At the Devils’ rookie camp, Tedenby led his teammates with four goals during an inter-team scrimmage game and put up a dazzling performance in front of Devils’ fans that showed up Saturday. He is red lightening fast.
Notes from the Saturday scrimmage:
1. I was impressed with Jeff Frazee’s performance. I had earlier reservations if he could succeed in backing up Martin Brodeur. So far, he is looking good.
2. Center, Mike Swift, showed some toughness and started talking trash to Devils’ enforcer Pierre-Luc Leblond. It reminded me memories of Gionta and Chara.
3. Kevin Cormier scored and showed some character. He is always talking to his teammates and seem to command respect on the bench.
4. It was good to see some familiar faces. Scott Stevens, Tommy Albelin, Sergei Brylin, Chris Terreri, David Conte, and Lou Lamoriello were all present.
5. Tyler Eckford looked good, but needs some time in Lowell to work on his defensive game. He did score a goal.
Final score:
Black Devils Team: 4 White Devils Team: 3

SamPWoo.com – Pretty exciting times with HockeyPrimetime.com.
Justin Bourne, who will be writing for the website this coming fall, has a new personal blog and our webmaster has been helping him customize it. It looks great and I think we’ve made some strides in the past two years. Sure, we’ve made our fair share of mistakes, but we learned a lot in the process.
JBourne.com is really a precusor for what’s to come with the new Hockey Primetime. We are excited and the challenges will be tough. After Justin agreed to come onboard, it felt like the Free Agency frenzy and we had gotten a potential talent in hockey writing world. I feel like a nerd by saying that, but after reading Justin’s articles, he has potential and glad this maybe a home for his articles for years to come.
